Pumpkin Hollow

Charles Wysocki -

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this action-packed painting is worth at least ten thousand! "Welcome to Pumpkin Hollow" reads the sign on the pumpkin-filled barn at center. An ice dealer makes a stop and is greeted by the family. More giant pumpkins dot the landscape as the trees' leaves change color.

Charles Wysocki was an American painter born in Detroit, of Polish decent. His interest in American folk art and many trips to New England culminated in the masterpieces we see, depicting simpler times in rural communities. His paintings are fun with visual treasures embedded in nearly every inch.
