The Golden Rule
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Words to live by! This was Norman Rockwell's painting for the Saturday Evening Post cover for April 1, 1961. Also called "Do Unto Others".
This cover is very much outside the Rockwell Mainstream. It represents one of the few occasions during the course of his association with the Post when he consciously attempted to make a broad statement about the human condition. Compared with the general run of his cover paintings, always humanitarian in their viewpoint, this seems forced and wooden.
