Also called "Jury Room" and "The Holdout", Norman Rockwell painted this for the Saturday Evening Post Cover for February 14, 1959. Commentary: This lively cover provided Rockwell with the opportunity to paint character studies of eleven good men and true, plus that of one determined woman who is not about to be shaken by arguments that she finds unconvincing. Rockwell has attacked with relish the problem of portraying the debris produced during the course of the marathon session leading up to the moment shown here.
